Cadwyn Ogwen was created with the help of local businesses and public funding as a way to support both local producers and customers during the pandemic in 2020. At a time when usual paths to market were not available, Cadwyn Ogwen gave producers an online platform to sell to customers and provided a weekly delivery service within the Dyffryn Ogwen area using our community electric vehicles.
Since then Cadwyn Ogwen has carried on growing and now works with over 25 producers offering over 600 products.
2023 has seen further expansion for Cadwyn Ogwen as in April we joined together with Hwb Bwyd Dyffryn Nantlle to offer even more choice to our Dyffryn Ogwen customers and expand the customer base for our producers. Furthermore in September we entered into a partnership with Prifysgol Bangor to create a pick up point convenient to students and staff.
Customers can order online at cadwynogwen.cymru by noon on Tuesdays for local delivery on Thursdays or collection from one of our local partners - Llaethdy Gwyn, Bethesda; Caffi Blas Lon Las, Tregarth; Tyddyn Teg, Bethel; and Prifysgol Bangor.
