Community Friend

In her work as Friend of the Community, Linda visits several residents of the Dyffryn Ogwen area - the elderly, and those who feel lonely and appreciate having a little chat over a cup of tea. Linda is also ready to assist anyone who needs help getting to doctor appointments or filling in forms e.g. free bus tickets. Linda encourages people to go to the 'Keep Fit' session which is held weekly on Wednesdays at Bethesda Rugby Club by Dementia Actif Gwynedd - everyone of all ages is welcome there. In following the session there is an opportunity to have a small lunch and a cup of tea. Linda also visits Clwb y Dyffryn (the second Tuesday of each month) at Gorffwysfan, High Street, Bethesda. The club always welcomes new members – a golden opportunity for everyone to come together and socialise.
