What is available at Hwb Ogwen?
Tuesday and Thursday – 10am to 6pm

  • Food pack – up to 6 items available weekly to anyone in emergency (pasta/rice/cereal/bread/milk/beans/prepared sauce) and can refer individuals to a local food bank
  • Energy vouchers (following passing criteria)
  • Energy saving advice
  • Advice on benefits
  • Advice on household bills – water, gas, electricity
  • Help with filling in forms e.g. bus ticket, application for a blue badge
  • Drop-in sessions from Gwaith Gwynedd, Council on Everything (CAB) and digital Gwynedd

Last Wednesday of every month – 4pm to 6pm – Cefnfaes Centre
Swpar Chwaral – a chance to socialise in a warm space, and have a free supper! By now around 20 people come every month and a good team of volunteers help serve the food and clean the kitchen after finishing. We are also able to offer transport at a reasonable price.

Friday – 4pm onwards
Dyffryn Ogwen Bwyd Clwb – a food waste prevention scheme with Fareshare, which is open to the whole community. A bag of food (lucky dip) that contains products such as fruit, vegetables, cheese and meat for £5. The bags are very popular and the 30 bags sell quickly.
