Community Transport

Dyffryn Caredig is one of Partneriaeth Ogwen projects which focuses on community transport.

This project follows the success of Dyffryn Gwyrdd, which was a 3-year project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Our intention with this project is to provide a fleet of vehicles and electric bikes for the use of Dyffryn Ogwen communities - Beics Ogwen and Bws Ogwen.

We work closely with schools, associations and organizations in the dyffryn in order to provide green door-to-door transport for the residents of the area.

These are the vehicles that are part of tPartneriaeth Ogwen's fleet:

Mini buses

Two electric minibuses

One 10 seater bus and wheelchair accessible

One bus 16 seats larger groups

The nimble vehicles are available for hire with a driver who has completed a MIDAS training course. The large bus was a gift from Ynni Ogwen and is regularly used by schools and associations in the dyffryn. Both buses are also used for leisure and wellness trips - everything from trips to garden centres, shopping in supermarkets, sporting competitions and cultural events.

A 2-seater electric van that will launch on the Hiyacar network from May 2024.

We have electric bikes and regular bikes available to hire or borrow.

We have accessible bikes and side-by-side bikes.

Prices start from £10 for a regular bike, £20 for electric bikes
